They happen when the High pressure over the Azores is static and the low pressure is over the Sahara. They are famous for the constant trade winds from the north east. Lanzarote being the first island the wind hits gives us the most days of wind in the Canaries.
We chose the location of our club due to an acceleration effect of the coast which gives us perfect condition for beginners and advance windsurfers.
The Summer trade winds start to come in March/April peaking between June and August the dying out September/October. November to March the weather condition will depend on the depressions traveling around the Atlantic which can affect the trade wind system.
The Canary current controls our climate giving us very little change in both sea and air temperature. Sea temperature range 18º to 24º and air temperature range 17º to 30º.
