You'll find the spot 'Las Cucharas' on Lanzarotes
east coast in Costa Teguise , where the trade winds blow almost sideshore
from the left. A protected bay makes the place secure and ideal for
beginners and trainings for advanced surfers. Outside the bay, slightly
on luv, there is a reef where Wavefreaks and Free-riders will have
a lot of fun.
The Club has over 50 Boards and 90 sails at your disposal. Furthermore
there are changing rooms, showers, a 'El Niño' Surfshop and
a sail repair in the centre. A Minibus for transfers and excursions
as well as a safety boat complete the infrastructure.
In the nearby area you will find all type of lodgements like hotels,
apartments, bungalows and a wide range of services: bars, restaurants,
car rentals, supermarkets, banks, etc. You reach the airport in about
10 minutes.
Lanzarote
The Canarian archipel is only 120 km away from the African atlantic
coast of Marocco. The steady trade winds make Lanzarote a windsurf
paradise and you only have to look at the wind statistics to know
why it became a Mekka for Windsurfers.
But Lanzarote has much more to offer than wind and waves. The unique
volcanic landscape of the Fire Mountains, the wine area of La Geria
or the impressive cliff and endless sand beach of Famara are just
a few of its natural beauties. Those who are looking for nightlife
wont be disappointed either: the typical Spanish nightlife offers
you everything - except sleep....
The Canary Islands are often called 'The islands of eternal spring'
thanks to their mild and sunny climate all year through. With almost
360 sunny days, Lanzarote became a popular holiday destination in
all European countries.
